Susan Schachterle (SHACK-ter-lee) is Director of The Ahimsa Group and has spent more than two decades working with individuals and organizations eager to maximize their time and talents in the pursuit of meaningful goals.  She has worked in a wide range of industries in the U.S., across Western Europe where she has worked with individuals in the financial sector as well as expats adjusting to a new culture, and in Asia where she worked with members of the Singaporean government.  Her focus is in the areas of peak performance and excellence in communication.  She is convinced that, as a society, we have only scratched the surface of what’s possible when human beings commit themselves to living and working with the highest level of excellence and integrity.

Susan got her education in both the US and in Switzerland, and focused on psychology and language, with post-graduate work completed through the Avalon Institute.  She has been trained in neurolinguistic programming (NLP), the science and study of excellence, and applies that training in her work both with groups and individuals.  Her work has spanned many organizational levels, many cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, and numerous situations in which human excellence was required.

She is the author of several books, the most recent of which, The Bitch, The Crone, and The Harlot (Elite Books) won the IPPY Award.  Her forthcoming book, Women as Leaders, Women as Healers, explores women and leadership and will include information gleaned from interviews with women in leadership positions worldwide (available autumn 2010).  Her magazine articles have appeared in several publications, including Builder/Architect, Zenith Woman, and China Business Review.
